TIP OF THE DAY!!

Fruit jellies, you can buy them in your local supermarkets for £2 - £3 for pack of 8 and the kids LOVE them.
The tip I have for you today is make them at home for an absolute fraction of the cost simply buy some small food storage pots easily found on ebay or your local pound shop or even better still some old yoghurt pots!. No rocket science involved just chop some fruit up stick it in the bottom of the pot, get some cheap jelly for about 30p a packet make it up as the directions on the packet pour it over the fruit and leave in the fridge to set. TAH DAHHHHH!!! Probably cost about 3p a pot!

Chicken pasta recipe

Chicken and Bacon Pasta Recipe

This is a recipe for a really easy Chicken Pasta Recipe that will feed a large family until they are fit to burst. Its really easy to make and always a big hit with ALL the children which is a rarity!
Now usual recipes will say use 5ml of this and 8gms of that, but I just say use the amounts you will think will satisfy your family but I will use the amounts that I use for my family of 6.

Pasta Shells
Garlic
Celery
1 pack Chicken Breast (chopped)
Olive Oil
Mixed Herbs
Small Onion
Broad Beans/ Peas/ Soya beans
Bacon
Black Pepper

Boil your pasta (however much you want)
Crush 3 cloves of garlic,
finely chop one small onion and finely slice the celery,
cut your bacon into squares (use scissors its a lot easier) put it all into a frying pan with about 30 ml of olive oil and 2 tbs of mixed herbs,
fry until the bacon looks cooked and celery is softened will take about 3-4mins.
By this time the juices in the pan will be really tasty, add your chicken and fry until chicken is cooked through.
Add peas/beans and cook for a further 3 mins or until the peas are warmed through.
Drain your pasta shells and put back in the empty pan.
Throw everything in the frying pan (oil as well) onto the pasta and mix well season with black pepper, get some plates or bowls and get stuck in!!
Garlic bread on the side goes well with this :)

Please comment if you made this and let me know what you thought also if you have any improvements please comment! x

Cheap Shopping Online

Cheap Shopping Online

Get your shopping from top name supermarkets for discounted prices!
Mysupermarket is one of the most useful and thrifty sites I have ever come across for my weekly shopping.
Its really easy and simple to use, firstly you sign up and register. This is very easy to do and just involves inputting a few details into the form such as name, e-mail ect.
When your signed up you can begin shopping, choose a supermarket to shop with, Tesco, Asda, Sainsburys, Occado, Waitrose.
I tend to use Tesco's as this one tends to be the cheapest and has the best offers also its great for collecting Clubcard Points even the fresh fruit and veg is picked at a very high standard (better than I can find myself actually) but it's your choice and who knows another Supermarket might be better for your type of shop. This is another great thing about this website, as you shop your basket is compared with that of the other Supermarkets (see below for example):
Shopping on this site is easy, there are tabs at the top of the page that represent the different sections of the Supermarket, (meats, fruit and veg, frozen, baby, ect) (see below:)

As you shop the website will offer you cheaper alternatives to the items you have chosen (if available) and alert you to special offers (see below for example:)

So when you have bought what you need you simply click on the basket that is the cheapest and the site will transfer your basket to the Supermarkets actual website (you will need to register on the supermarkets site as well before you can pay for your shopping) and a delivery fee will be added to your final bill. HINT:slots booked during the week tend to be cheaper than those booked on a weekend!

Personally I think this site is just perfect for a busy parent with no time to spare, No more stressful journeys, and carrying tons of bags, just sit back and wait for it to be delivered!

Hope you find this useful x
